|Trail Wiki is currently working on building an all new website. The new website will be full of new features including a more user friendly interface, user profiles, articles, recipes, blog, track your hikes, easier user contribution, and much more. The new Trail Wiki website will be built on the all new Drupal 8.0. This platform will allow Trail Wiki to expand into a modern day website in both looks and functionality. This is going to be a long process and I hope to have the first version of the new site up and running by next summer for the 2016 hiking season. Take this easy 1.2 miles hike up to Carlon Falls. This 25 foot tall waterfall is an amazing place for an afternoon swim to beat the hot summer heat. There are two nice size pools for swimming just below the falls along with nice smooth rock that the water flows over just a couple inches deep most of the year.
How to get there
From Yosemite Valley:Head out of Yosemite Valley on the Big Oak Flat Road(highway 120). In 1 mile pass the Big Oak Flat turn right onto Evergreen Road. Follow Evergreen Road for 1 mile to the trailhead on the right side of the road. Google Map
As you approach the falls there will be multiple paths. The trails to your right will take you to the creek where it will be hard to boulder hop up to the falls. Stay on the trail to your left until you can physically see the waterfall.
